Lauren, tell us about your business. What inspired you to start BubbaDesk?
BubbaDesk was born out of a deep, instinctual need to stay close to my baby. The thought of leaving him at daycare all day felt unbearable. It wasn’t just about missing him—I felt a physical pull, a kind of postnatal anxiety that made traditional childcare options impossible to commit to. At the same time, I needed to work. I needed purpose beyond motherhood, but I couldn’t find a space that allowed me to balance both. So I built one. A space where parents can work, focus, and still be close enough to check in, feed, or cuddle their baby when they need to. BubbaDesk is what I wish had existed when I was navigating those early months.
